Review: Invisible by Lorena McCourtney

null Although Ivy Malone is no young pup, (She qaulifies for the usual senior citizen’s discount) she is full of spunk and determination and her “mutant curiosity gene” tends to take over more often than not. She comes to think of herself as “invisible” to most people and she uses it to her advantage. When she continues to find the Country Peace Cemetary vandalized she takes matters into her own hands and launches her own private investigation into the matter. Hiding in a dark cemetary, she tries to get evidence on the culprit(s). Meanwhile, another more serious crime is commited which brings on a whole new investigation for Ivy. While her curiosity gene takes over, a new budding friendship emerges with Detective “Dix” the lead investigator on the case. Can Ivy help solve the crime and will her safety be in jeopardy?

This book is definitely worth reading. Hilariously funny !I laughed out loud! Lorena McCourtney has a winner in Ivy Malone. Her spunk and determination will keep you coming back for more!

Review: In Plain Sight by Lorena McCourtney

null Ivy Malone is back! Ever think a gray haired little old lady (LOL) could get into so many jams? Well, Ivy Malone can! When Drake Braxton threatens to do harm to Ivy she hightails it out of town but trouble seems to follow her everywhere she goes. So does her mutant curiosity gene. While hiding out from the Braxtons, Ivy finds herself thrown into another mystery that she can’t help but investigate. When one of her neighbors is murdered, Ivy goes searching for clues. Will she solve it or will she be next on the list?

This is a delightful book! Lorena McCourtney brings her usual humor and determination to Ivy Malone. It left me wanting to read the next one! I highly recommend this one!

Mr. Darcy Takes The Plunge by J. Marie Croft

null A charming take on Jane Austin’s Pride and Prejudice, Mr. Darcy Takes the Plunge is a gem. The fun, and puns, begin when Fitwilliam Darcy and his friends decide to take a plunge in a pond on their estate. When a rather wet and disheveled Darcy encounters his sisters and their new friends on the lawn of Pemberley he leaves a lasting impression. Elizabeth Bennet can’t quite get the image of the “Handsome Barbarian” out of her mind. When both families find themselves in London for the Little Season a romance soon develops.

Full of charm and wit, even to the point of being corny at times, I found myself not wanting to put it down. The characters draw you in and leave you wanting more. It was definitely worth reading. A book you’ll want to read again and again. If you like to be entertained, I highly recommend it.
